There are many ways to contact the Akashic Records, but in the end it is you that has to build your own toolkit to establish that connection based on your own individual energetic makeup and personal preferences. Below I’m going to share with you 7 approaches in reading the Records, that have helped me and can help you to be successful in working without the wisdom of the Akashic Records.

1. Openness Begins with Giving Yourself Permission to Explore

As I pointed in the introduction preceding this list of ways on how to access the Records, there’s a certain mystique that surrounds the Akashic Records and that is prevalent in the spiritual community. This can hinder you if you become susceptible to the idea that only people that are at some high spiritual level can work with the Records.

You need to abandon this idea and give permission to yourself claim your birthright that you are worthy approaching the Records, since it is a gift from Source to all humanity and you being part of the humanity has all the rights to be a vessel of their infinite knowledge.

When you’re new in learning any kind of skill and especially skill that involves spiritual or energetic work, you might not have yet developed trust that you are cut out for the work.

Doubt, and especially fear of approaching the Records, comes from the resistance that the Ego-Mind will bring forth, because it’s your mind’s duty to keep your safe in face of the unknown, and when you’re approaching the Records for the first time you’re opening up to the unknown, thus triggering your mind’s response of approaching the subject with caution.

When you’re new in learning any kind of skill and especially skill that involves spiritual or energetic work, you might not have yet developed trust that you are cut out for the work.

One thing that you can do for you to overcome this resistance is to keep journal of your successes (success as you defined it). As more and more material written in your journal in terms of your successes accumulates, your mind will eventually be convinced that there’s nothing to be afraid of and instead there’s more to relish on when opening up to the Records.

As I mentioned above, there are many ways to gain access to the Akashic Records.

In my case, when I started, I created a guided visualization (a skill that comes natural to me because I have been exposed to many guided visualizations for years) which I used every time I wanted to get attuned to the Records.

Also, after gaining experience in channeling high level beings, I managed to contact the Keepers of the Records (who are part of the beings that are responsible of maintaining the Records) and could download information directly from them letting go of the need for any type of guided meditation.

As I discussed several times in this article on the fact that there are many ways that you can connect with the Akashic Records, I want to emphasize the importance that intention place in building a steady relationship with them that transcends the “how” and emphasizes the “why”.

But do not rush in building a clear-cut intention from the jump start, because this is something that comes with practice. Just approach the whole process in a playful and eager to learn manner and you will get there.

Sharing how I currently approach the Records, which is through direct communication with the Keepers of the Records, doesn’t mean that this is the way for everyone to communicate with the Records.

In my experience, it is more common when we first approach either high-level beings that reside in the higher planes and dimensions of reality, or your Higher Self or in this case the Akashic Records we receive information as symbols, words or simple phrases.

So, if you are not intending to go my route of connecting directly with the beings that maintain the Records through channeling, and choose the approach of just stating your intention to receive information, after you have finished with your session, record everything on journal.

In my experience, it is more common when we first approach either high-level beings that reside in the higher planes and dimensions of reality, or your Higher Self or in this case the Akashic Records we receive information as symbols, words or simple phrases.

You can then reflect on what you have received after you have amassed and good chunk of information from the sessions with the Akashic Records. It is like trying to interpret your own dreams, where you learn how to build the Lexicon in trying to understand them. The same goes with the Akashic Records when they are communicating with you through symbols, sounds and symbol phases, you will need to build your own “dictionary” to learn the language the Records are “speaking” in order for what you receive to make sense.

When you work with the Records, and after you have established your own way of attuning yourself with them, how you will ask your questions will determine the quality of the answers that you will receive.
