Sacred Geometry is the study of geometric structures, either on a piece of paper, an architectural structure based on designs to include sacred shapes in its construction, and even in the natural world, is the hidden vocabulary of the universe, that vibrates in harmony with the divine mind.

The concept that everything is connected is something that is frequently talked about in the spiritual community, but it is in Sacred Geometry that we can witness it in a very tangible way.

It is an interesting shape to study as it explains how the universe came to be based on strictly mathematical and geometric concepts (which is not something new, but very ancient, an idea held by many civilizations from ancient times in various parts of the world).

1. Metatron’s Cube

From what I just discussed, I cannot hide the fact that I am fascinated by this geometric construction. The Metatron’s Cube contains 13 interconnected circles that represent the feminine energy of the universe, and lines that connect the center of each circle representing the masculine energy, lines that create a weblike image that might come as an arbitrary mesh, but this mesh contains in it several important geometric figures.

The best known are the 5 platonic solids that rest on this web of lines connecting the 13 spheres, with each representing one of the four classical elements plus the element of spirit.

When I first encountered this image, I wasn’t mature enough to understand it till I came across someone on the internet that was drawing mandalas and would always start with the seed of life, which is composed of one circle surrounded by six overlapping ones, whose centers are resting on the periphery of the first center.

So, I drew the image of the cube and place it somewhere where I can see and meditate on it, and was amazed at how it resonated with my whole being.

2. Vesica Piscis

Another important element when drawing the Metatron’s Cube is the Vesica Piscis, two circles with the same diameter, whose centers rest on the periphery of the other.

This image can be found everywhere in architecture (along with the Seed of Life and the Flower of Life, that is the Seed of Life, scaled up by six more circles).

The “eye” formed by the overlapping circles in the center can represent many things, but the most important one, the union of opposites that gives birth to a third force.

3. Merkaba

Merkaba is one more structure that is composed of two tetrahedrons on pointing up and one pointing down and can be also be drawn in the web of lines in Metatron’s Cube in a 2D form.

A tetrahedron is a pyramid made of four equilateral triangles, with one being the base and the other three joining at the tip of the pyramid.

This 3D construct is very important to all lightworkers and can act as a protection symbol when you imagine yourself sitting in the center of it and also act as a vehicle for the multidimensional expansion of your consciousness.

4. The Spiral

The spiral for me represents what I mentioned above: a reminder of the interconnectedness of everything, since it can be found everywhere.

I also remind us of the unfoldment of things, and just as the rose blooms in spiral motions so does our consciousness as we expand more and more from our conception as souls from the Void or God Mind to our current selves as human beings striving to spread our wings as fully realized beings.

5. Shri Yantra–The Sacred Map of Inner Balance

The Shri Yantra is the last item on the list of sacred geometric shapes we are going to discuss in this article. I am including it here, because it has also become an image of great importance in the spiritual community.

It has ancient roots in the Hindu tantric tradition, and is a yantra, a geometric figure that symbolizes the essence of a Hindu deity.

The Shri Yantra, though, somehow encompasses all yantras and represents the interplay of masculine and feminine archetypes by triangles that, when pointing up, represents the former and when pointing down the latter.

In the center of it is a single point called Bindu and is the center of all creation.

But the Shri Yantra is far more than an interplay between the masculine and feminine energies and by mentioning it here I urge you to make it a starting point for you to explore its meaning and symbolism further, because it is an amazing tool of aligning your energy field and move deeper into the world of manifesting and the sacred feminine.
