Stress and tension have been a staple state of being in modern day of life, and we are all desperate to go back to a more peaceful and stress-free way of living.

If you feel the same, here’s where Sound Frequency Healing comes in. This type of healing is practiced by being exposed to certain types of sound and vibration whose frequencies help you restore balance in body, mind and spirit.
Stress and tension have been a staple state of being in modern day of life, and we are all desperate to go back to a more peaceful and stress-free way of living.
In this article, we are going to explore how Sound Frequency Healing helps you to wave goodbye to stress and say hello to bliss naturally.
So, if you’re ready, let’s start.
Understanding the Healing Science of Sound and Frequency
The effects of sound on our nervous system are backed by science.
When we are exposed to rhythmic sounds, our brains resonate with them and thus move us in a slower brain activity, like the alpha brain wave state (which is a state we experience when we sleep and in moments of meditation).
This state of the brain then sends a single signal to the autonomous nervous system to slow down the rest of the body, which involves relaxing your heartbeat and even your muscles.
The effects of sound on our nervous system are backed by science.
It also can help go beyond the physical effects and touch your emotional state. Sound can engage in the release of emotional tension that can take the form of catharsis that leads to a state of openness and expansion.
And this is the path that leads us from tension to the state of bliss.

The Core of Sound Frequency Healing and the Journey from Goodbye Stress to Hello Bliss
Modern sound healing is a mixture of ancient practices like drumming, chanting or the use of sacred sounds, and science. In the following section, I’m going to introduce you to three principles on how Sound Frequency Healing leads you from tension and stress to tranquility and bliss.
1. The Resonance of Calm and How Sound Slows the Body and Clears the Mind
I touched this briefly above, but I want to dive deeper into how long resonant sounds coming from gongs, tuning forum forks, or crystal balls guide your body naturally towards relaxation.
The rhythmic nature of these sounds activates a phenomenon called brain entrainment, where the brain waves resonate to the rhythm of the sounds leading it to operate in a calmer state (which is called either alpha state, or – if the brain slows down more – even theta state).
This then affects our autonomous nervous system, which handles our heart rate, digestive system, and other organs that work beyond our conscious effort, by activating the parasympathetic system, which puts our bodies to rest.

Sound also can go beyond the physical and help you open your consciousness to a sense of meditative states as it helps you focus your attention indirectly, or without your conscious effort.
2. The Emotional Release and How Tension Turns into Transformation
Sound Frequency Healing is not always straightforward and might lead you into going through a type of release of emotional blockages or repressed memories, where some people might cry and some even feel unsettling emotions like anger, which are there to be released.
In my case, though, what I experience when I go through this type of release is an opening of my heart at tenderness and vulnerability that lets me to surrender to anything that goes on within my psyche and develop a sense of acceptance and compassion towards myself.
3. Deep Listening as a Path to Inner Harmony
Deep listening is when you focus your awareness on what you’re hearing and in terms of Sound Frequency Healing, you direct your attention to the sounds that you have used for a healing session.
This shift of your awareness might come either consciously or unconsciously and usually when you are listening to sounds that I have described above, your mind resonates with them.
In my experience, this shift takes place first in my physical body, which goes into deep relaxation, and as I continue to listen to the healing sounds, my emotions follow by calming down and the mind chatter decreases significantly.
Deep listening is when you focus your awareness on what you’re hearing and in terms of Sound Frequency Healing, you direct your attention to the sounds that you have used for a healing session.
This may also lead to me experiencing an expanded state of consciousness if I go deeper into my experience of being a receiver of the said healing sounds, something that does not occur often, but when it does, it is quite remarkable.
Conclusion
Sound Frequency Healing is an invitation for us to escape the inevitability of stressful modern living, and direct ourselves towards a calmer, and even blissful state of being which, when cultivated enough, can spread through our daily lives.
As I always say this practice does not have to be complicated and it might be just a session where you are listening to a healing sound, to (if you choose) a more ritualistic approach taking place at a sacred space, both physically and energetically, where you will receive the benefits a Sound Frequency Healing session.
So, till next time, take care.
