Having said that, I would like to add that the earth, in my experience and knowledge (along with the position of many modern spiritual teachers) is a schoolhouse of opportunities for the human soul to evolve.

The density and hardships that one is facing throughout their lives can be viewed either from the position of victimhood (where things happen to us), or from the perspective of facing them as challenges to conquer and evolve.

The Ascended Masters can help master these challenges by giving us courage, insights, and also hold their “light” for us to see through the fog of density and confusion that is present on the earth.

Because the earth is now in a stage of ascension herself, it is much easier for us to communicate with these highly evolved beings called Ascended Masters.

In the past, you had to be lucky enough to be part of a Mystery School, that would teach you the disciplines that were needed in order to reach the level of consciousness that was required to communicate with the Masters.

I would say it felt more like an abstract space of frequencies vibrating at the energetic signature of the Master that lived in this space that is otherwise called an Etheric Retreat.

As I mentioned above, you can work with guided visualization to travel to these Retreats and gain much from visiting these places as you would do when connecting with the Masters that live there.

At the beginning of the 19th century, one of the most prominent Esoteric or Mystery Schools and the one that introduced to the people interested in spirituality, the concept of the Ascended Masters was that of the Theosophical Society founded by the renowned Helena P. Blavatsky. From there on, a lot of groups sprang from Society, each one adding more to the metaphysical ideas surrounding the Ascended Masters.

Another thing that I mentioned above was that in the past, in order for a disciple to meet the Ascended Masters they had to join a Mystery School and undergo very strict disciplines in order to prepare themselves for the contact.

Today even though there is no need to join that kind of Mystery School to contact the Ascended Masters, there’ are still a lot of groups forming around people that claim to have knowledge surrounding spiritual truths, along with the idea of the Ascended Masters and one should apply discernment before joining these groups.

I’m not against the idea of joining a group where there’s a knowledgeable teacher, because in this way in a group setting, it is much easier to evolve spiritually than it would be if you worked on your own. At the same time we are at an era where it is not needed, and it is much more productive to learn how to gain a sense of inner sovereignty in terms of your own path rather than relying on another (like a teacher) to help you in your path of self-actualization.
